Havilah Arendse would like to self title her fashion label, as her name means, ‘where the land is pure and full of goodness’. This designer likes to listen to Whitney Houston power ballads while creating her designs producing beautifully embellished garments Ms Arendse is inspired by 1990’s street style with a feminine bent. Making clothes since she started designing for her dolls as a child, this designer is the first person in her family to enter the industry.
Havilah would love to dress popstar Dua Lipa and is currently in her second year at Massey University studying her craft. Having spent time living abroad in England and South Africa, this designer brings a real passion for textiles and beading and an exceptional work ethic to Project Fashion Wellington, she is highly focused and extremely dextrous.
Si8nce completeing Project Fashion Havilah has had a solo show at NZ Fashion week. Founded the Smashed Avocadoes Design Store and now has a Atelier on Garret St, Te Aro, Wellington.
